As the Head of Data at Finaloop, you will oversee and manage a talented team of data scientists and data analysts, driving the development and implementation of advanced data models and analytics. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for data science initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background in data science, coupled with experience in data engineering and data analysis, and a proven track record of employee management and leadership.

What you'll do:

• Leadership and Team Management:

  • Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, setting goals and performance metrics.

  • Conduct performance reviews and support team development.

• Data Science Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop data science strategies to solve business challenges using advanced modeling and analysis.

  • Oversee data science project lifecycle from design to deployment.

• Hands-On Data Science:

  • Engage in data science activities, including model building and analysis.

  • Apply machine learning, statistical methods, and visualization techniques.

• Data Engineering and Analysis:

  • Work with data engineering to ensure data infrastructure quality and scalability.

  • Integrate and analyze data to identify actionable insights.

• Stakeholder Communication:

  • Present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly.

  • Prepare reports and visualizations to support decisions.

What you'll bring:

• 8+ years in data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data architecture tools

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

• Proven ability to grow, lead and develop teams.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
